The Butterfly Project Art Show
This project is an expression of honour and remembrance.
It is about hope and humanity.
It is about all of us – together.
This project is an exhibit of artistic pieces that remember and honour the missing and murdered indigenous women – the “daughters, sisters, mothers, aunties, and friends”.
The purpose of the exhibit is to provide support and hope to the families of the missing and murdered women, and to address the plight of First Nations women with genuine compassion and most importantly – respect. The project is about humanity. It is about all of us – together – because “nothing will change until the make-up of the people who care about what is happening to Aboriginal women changes”.
The exhibit will be held at Studio 16 and consists of over seventy pieces submitted by budding elementary school artists to well known established local artists.
Friday November 4th: 12:00pm – 5:00pm
